Public institutions: staff in service for Ateco sections and divisions, gender and class of employees

Description

The dataset contains information on public institutions collected by the 2011 Census of Industry and Services. Public institutions are legal-economic units whose main function is to produce non-market goods and services and/or to redistribute income and wealth and whose main resources are compulsory withdrawals from households, businesses and non-profit institutions or non-repayable transfers received from other government institutions. The variables collected relate to actual staff employed by the institutions by class and gender of actual staff and the Institution's Ateco section and division. In particular, actual staff in service means employees, permanent or fixed-term, engaged within the administration, regardless of that to which they belong; personnel seconded or seconded to other administrations shall be excluded and personnel seconded or seconded from other administrations shall be included. Employees with atypical employment contracts are included, such as workers with a coordinated and continuous collaboration contract (CO.CO.CO.) and/or project collaborators (CO.CO.PRO.), workers with a temporary employment contract (so-called temporary work, or former temporary work), workers with an insertion or training and work contract and socially useful workers.
