Public institutions: number of institutions and staff by legal form and Ateco code
Description
The dataset contains information on public institutions collected by the 2011 Census of Industry and Services.
Public institutions are legal-economic units whose main function is to produce non-market goods and services and/or to redistribute income and wealth and whose main resources are compulsory withdrawals from households, businesses and non-profit institutions or non-repayable transfers received from other government institutions. The variables collected concern the number of institutions and staff (employees, external workers, temporary workers and volunteers) by legal form and Ateco code 2007. In particular, the term "external" refers to collaborators and other atypical workers. For more information see http://data-censusindustriaeservizi.istat.it
