Non-profit institutions: number of institutions and staff by legal form and field of activity
Description
The dataset contains information on non-profit institutions from the 2011 Industry and Services Census.
Non-profit institutions are legal-economic units with or without legal personality, of a private nature, which produce goods and services intended or not intended for sale and which, according to the laws in force or to their statutory rules, do not have the right to distribute, even indirectly, profits or other earnings other than the remuneration of the work performed to the subjects who established it or to the shareholders. The variables collected concern the number of institutions and staff (employees, external workers, temporary workers and volunteers) by legal form, sector and sub-sector of activity (INCPO). In particular, employees are employees of active non-profit institutions and external collaborators and other atypical workers. For more information see http://data-censusindustriaeservizi.istat.it
