Description
The dataset shall contain data on arable crops grown on agricultural and livestock holdings. Area data shall always be expressed in hectares.
The source of the data is the 6th General Census of Agriculture - 2010.
Agricultural and zootechnical holding means the technical-economic unit, consisting of land, even in non-contiguous plots, and possibly various plants and equipment, in which agricultural and zootechnical activity is carried out, principally or secondary, by a holder - natural person, company, body - who bears the risk both alone, as a farmer or holder with employees and / or partners, and in an associated form. for further information on the definitions and classifications used in the General Census of Agriculture see: www.istat.it
