Population: Intercensus reconstruction of the natural and migratory movement 2001-2011
Description
On 26 September 2013, Istat released the intercensus reconstruction of the main demographic flows for all the municipalities of Italy. As communicated by Istat, it is based on the evidence provided by the last Census, together with the comparative examination with the demographic flows (births, deaths, migrations) occurred in the same period. It therefore aims to improve both statistics on the population itself - in terms of consistency, structural composition and demographic events - and those statistical indicators that cannot be separated from their use. The dataset shows, for the Municipality of Milan, the demographic balances reconstructed for each time interval between 22 October 2001 and 9 October 2011. The budgets include stock measures, relating to the size of the population at the beginning and end of each range, and measures of the demographic movement, i.e. births, deaths, immigration and internal emigration, immigration and emigration with foreign countries, acquisitions of Italian citizenship.
