Enterprise 2010: Number of local units by sector of activity and decentralisation area
Description
The dataset contains the number of local units (UL) present in the territory of the Municipality of Milan and their employees, classified by Ateco 2007 UL code (5 digits) and by Zone.
NOTE 1: the local unit is the physical place where the undertaking carries out its activity, therefore it may coincide with the undertaking or part of it. (Some examples: agency, bar, storage, shop, laboratory, warehouse, professional office, office, clinic, hotel...).
NOTE 2: for a part of the UL (approximately 2%) the data on the area is not available, due to address not present or lack of connection with the toponym archive. For the latter case, the coupling is being verified/completed.
NOTE 3: data on employees are calculated as work units. In this regard, it is recalled that full-time work units (FWU) can refer to the work performed during the year by a full-time employee, or to the amount of equivalent work performed by part-time workers or by workers performing double work. (e.g. two part-time workers at 50% result as 1 work unit). The work unit is therefore not linked to the individual natural person, but conventionally refers to a standard amount of full-time work defined by national contracts. This explains the presence of values with decimal places.
