Enterprises: Number of enterprises and employees by class of turnover
Description
The dataset contains the data relating to the companies present in the Municipality of Milan, classified by Ateco 2007 code (2 and 5 digits) and by turnover class. The data cover the number of enterprises, the number of employees and self-employed persons and the total number of employees (sum of the two previous items).
NOTE 1: Employment figures are calculated as work units. In this respect, it is recalled that full-time work units (FWUs) can refer to the work performed during the year by a full-time employee, or to the amount of equivalent work performed by part-time workers or workers performing double work. (e.g. two part-time workers at 50% result as 1 work unit). The work unit is therefore not linked to the individual natural person, but conventionally refers to a standard amount of full-time work defined by national contracts. This explains the presence of values with decimal places.
NOTE 2: The data is updated to the latest available year. Pending the final ISTAT data for the year 2012.
