Description
Green roof means the greening of the extrados of the roofing floors of the buildings.
The data were released as part of the European project DECUMANUS FP7-SPACE (Development and Consolidation of Geospatial Sustainability Services for Adaptation and Climate Change Urban Impacts).
The algorithm developed to map existing and potential green roofs is structured in several phases:
- STEP 1: Identify which roofs have significant portions with slopes suitable for turning green,
- STEP 2: Classify the roofs thus identified and elaborate the final results,
- STEP 3: Classify buildings according to their use (residence, offices, services, etc.)
