Existing green roofs in Milan
Description
Green roof means the greening of the extrados of the roofing floors of the buildings.
The data were released as part of the European project **DECUMANUS FP7-SPACE** (*Development and Consolidation of Geospatial Sustainability Services for Adaptation and Climate Change Urban Impacts*).
The algorithm developed to map existing and potential green roofs is structured in several phases:
* STEP 1: Identify which roofs have significant portions with slopes suitable for turning green,
* STEP 2: Classify the roofs thus identified and elaborate the final results,
* STEP 3: Classify buildings according to their use (residence, offices, services, etc.)
