Population families: typologies for NIL (1999-2023)
Description
The dataset shows, from 1999, the distribution of resident population families divided by NIL, type of family and age of the head of household; the definition of the latter coincides with the holder of the family record, i.e. the person to whom the family record is registered (more information on this can be found at https://www.istat.it/en/files/2011/02/GuidaShortForm1.pdf ).
The data concern the number of families residing in Milan and entered in the population register, since 1999.
The birth family is a group of people linked by marriage, kinship, affinity, adoption, protection or emotional ties. The composition of the family stems from the family status.
