A brief description:
National topographic map of criterion 1: 50,000 — vector (DTK 50V) is an object-oriented mapping database.
The objects are divided into eight object groups:
— mathematical elements
— settlements and facilities
— communications
— relief
— hydrography
— coverage of the soil
— boundaries and divisions
the Geographical Names.
Since 2017, DTK 50V is also available in the form of a federal vector cartographic database, which is maintained and released in the form of SHP files (27).
The data of the vector DTK 50 are intended for spatial planning, for orientation in the field, as a basis for other topics and as a source for the production of other maps.
