LICENCE TO OPERATE A BOAT

Description

Depending on their purpose and length, the type of propulsion, the power of the propulsion engine and the navigation area, individual types of boats may only be operated by qualified persons. A qualified person shall be deemed to be medically fit and obtain one of the following documents: •boatmaster’s Certificate of Competence, •certificate of completion of the test for the management of the boat On a boat that has a radio station with a digital selective call at very high frequencies, there must be a person who has •certificate of competence to operate a VHF GMDSS station Boat management exams may be taken by citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and candidates who have a permanent residence or temporary residence in the Republic of Slovenia for more than six months. The above certificates for the management of boats are obtained by passing the examination before the examination committee of the Maritime Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.
