Replication data for Eeklo Footbridge: Benchmark Dataset on Pedestrian-Induced Vibrations
Description
The Eeklo footbridge benchmark dataset was collected on October 26th 2017 on the Eeklo footbridge (Belgium) and involves unrestricted pedestrian traffic. Two pedestrian densities were considered: 0.25 persons/m2 and 0.50 persons/m2, corresponding to approximately 75 and 150 pedestrians. All procedures were approved by the social and societal ethics committee of KU Leuven and each participant gave written informed consent prior to participation. The following data
is available: (1) Structural accelerations at 10 locations along the bridge deck, (2) Accelerations levels at the lower back of each participant, (3) Pedestrian trajectories along the bridge deck and (4) a digital twin representing the dynamic behavior of the footbridge.
