Transcription of 20 sight translations (EN>FR) by translation students coded with voiced pauses and silent pauses

This corpus is made of the transcription of 20 sight translations made from English to French by translation students after a 10-minute preparation on the basis of the source text entitled "Looking into the voids could help explain dark energy" (full reference: Ananthaswamy, A. The students' oral productions were faithfully transcribed and therefore contain hesitations and repetitions. Silent pauses ("ps" in the corpus) and voiced pauses ("pv" in the corpus) of minimum 2 seconds were coded in the transcriptions. The corpus is available in UTF-8 to ensure easy upload in concordancing programs and can be used by any researcher in translation studies who wishes to analyze any aspect of (sight) translation, possibly in regard with pauses.
