Description
This dataset contains topographical records from 27 fourteenth-century censiers ('cijnsregisters' or 'rentenboeken' in Dutch) from the city of Bruges, supplemented with additional prosopographical data for home owners. This dataset was collected as part of the FWO funded project 'The Struggle for Urban Space in Commercial and Industrial Cities during the Later Middle Ages. The Case of Bruges (c. 1300 - c. 1580).'
