Earth map 1:200.000, version 2
Description
The map shows a nationwide classification and distribution of soils (preferably glacial and postglacial sediments) in the land surface of Denmark. The map is based on Denmark's Digital Earth Map 1:25,000 in the areas mapped. Other areas are interpreted based on drilling information, landscape analysis or other available information. The soils are divided into 12 different types and the map is therefore a simplified version of Denmark's Digital Earth Map 1:25,000. During the compiling process, the map has been shifted in certain areas. This can add up to an uncertainty of up to 200 m, in some places a little more. The map is thus suitable for educational purposes and as a background for other map themes on a scale of 1:200.000. The card is not recommended for use in case handling or for other purposes where greater precision is required. The map is published in GEUS report 2011/19.
