Dissolved inorganic carbon, pH, alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations using Alkalinity titrator, CTD and other instruments from POLARSTERN in the South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Oceans from 2014-12-02 to 2015-02-01 (NCEI Accession 0157620)

This dataset includes biological, chemical, discrete sample, optical, physical and profile data collected from POLARSTERN in the South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South) from 2014-12-02 to 2015-02-01. These data include CHLOROPHYLL, CHLOROPHYLL A, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED ORGANIC MATTER, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PARTICULATE ORGANIC CARBON, PARTICULATE ORGANIC NITROGEN (PON), PHAEOPHYTIN, PIGMENTS, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, diatom, pH, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include Alkalinity titrator, CTD, bottle and spectrophotometer.

These data were collected by Olaf Boebel of Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), Andrew G. Dickson of Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), and J. Magdalena Santana-Casiano and Melchor González-Dávila of Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) as part of the SOCCOM_06AQ20141202 dataset. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this dataset: ANT-XXX_2 and PS89
