Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TALK), pH on total scale, water temperature, salinity, nutrients and other parameters measured from surface underway discrete samples during the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown GO-SHIP Section A16N_2023 cruise (Leg 1 EXPOCODE 33RO20230306 and Leg 2 EXPOCODE 33RO20230413) in the North and South Atlantic Ocean from 2023-03-06 to 2023-05-09 (NCEI Accession 0307415)

Description

This dataset contains dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TALK), pH on total scale, water temperature, salinity, nutrients and other parameters measured from surface underway discrete samples during the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown GO-SHIP Section A16N_2023 cruise (Leg 1 EXPOCODE 33RO20230306 and Leg 2 EXPOCODE 33RO20230413) and during the transits between the starting port and first station and the ending station and ending port in the North and South Atlantic Ocean from 2023-03-06 to 2023-05-09. There were 148 surface CTD measurements collected from NISKIN Bottles and 53 discrete underway samples collected via a continuously flowing underway line. Discrete underway data has typically not been reported and the purpose of this dataset is to collate unpublished and published surface measurements together from the same research cruise in a usable format.
