Digital technologies in agriculture.
Description
Digitalisation in agriculture is often associated with reduced production costs and more environmentally friendly agricultural production. However, there is often no assessment of the actual environmental compatibility and the environmental performance of the use of technology. This study presents a concept and criteria for assessing the environmental impact through the application of digital technologies in agriculture. The developed environmental assessment concept describes the possibilities of qualitative and quantitative evaluation of environmental effects by means of indicators. It is generally valid, can also be used for future technology developments and also takes into account indirect effects.
