Piki Libraries’ List of Materials 2012
Description
The list of materials contains bibliographic metadata in the PIKI database. The latest data is from November 7, 2012. This includes both parent records (e.g. CD) and sub-items (e.g. CD tracks). The list contains normal records and excludes so-called pre-records, interlibrary loan records and incomplete records.

The list of materials has been broken down into several parts.
### In brief about the structure of records:
— in controlfield and datafield fields, the tag attribute indicates the MARC 21 field, e.g. the tag attribute “245” contains labels and responsibility markings.
“The Piki database has started to be built already in the 1980s. Due to numerous conversions and changes in cataloging, it has different “historical” layers and even errors. The conversions include linking databases of different municipalities to the PIKI database and exchanging the listing format from FinMARC to MARC 21. However, errors are not critical or prevent analysis from the database.
