Description
The Holocene base area represents a complete innovation for areas with a water depth of more than 10 m in its current extent. Compared to the Holocene base map of about 7,100 km2 created by Figge (1980), a much larger area of now 31,650 km2 is covered. The depth map shows the depth and distribution of the Holocene in the offshore area at 5 m intervals.
