Description
The Ice Age was a relatively short but crucial period of recent Earth history for the landscape, vegetation and wildlife of the treated area. During the Saale-Cold Age, the glaciers of the Scandinavian inland ice penetrated into the Westphalian Bay and led to conditions there, such as can only be found today in the polar regions of the northern and southern hemisphere. The volume is aimed at readers interested in science as well as nature and local history.
