Flemish Resilience Relaunch Plan. Monitoring and progress reporting

Description

With the Flemish Resilience Relaunch Plan, the Flemish Government invested in 2020 in the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, but also in the future resilience to new crises. The Flemish Government's ambitious investment plan ensures the transition to a sustainable and digital economy. It makes Flanders a warm, inclusive society with people who are more employable in the labour market. The relaunch plan rests on seven spearheads: 1. Making the economy and society more sustainable 2. Investing in infrastructure 3. Digital transformation in Flanders 4. Investing in people and talents 5. Strengthening the Flemish care and welfare system 6. Managing the coronavirus crisis and Brexit 7. Making the government more efficient At the start in September 2020, the plan was divided into 35 clusters and 180 projects. In July 2022, between Measurement 4 and Measurement 5, following the Ukraine crisis, a new project was added to support Flemish agriculture and fisheries, in cluster 36. The progress of the relaunch plan was mapped three times in 2021: in April, September and December. In 2022, there were two progress measurements: in June and December. In 2023, there was a measurement in December. The most recent measurement was carried out in December 2024. This progress measurement took place in a new legislature with a new Flemish Government and only gives the status of the VV projects that are financed with the relaunch budget of 4.3 billion euros. The projects VV159-VV180 for which regular resources were foreseen in the previous legislature are no longer included in the monitoring.
