Detection of Cumberlandia monodonta male mitotype eDNA from an outdoor raceway tank during a spawning event
Description
Data describe the detection of Spectaclecase (Cumberlandia monodonta) female and male mitotype environmental DNA (eDNA) during a spawning event. Water samples (approximately 1L) were collected from an outdoor raceway tank containing C. monodonta from March to April 2021 and analyzed for the presence of sex-specific eDNA. Parameters described in this data release include water quality parameters such as water alkalinity (mg/L), hardness (mg/L) , temperature (degrees Celsius), dissolved oxygen (percent and mg/L), pH, total ammonia (mg/L), unionized ammonia (mg/L), qPCR results and associated quality assurance measurements from the raceway tank water samples.
