Description
The map Cold or frost period: Average duration of the cold or frost period (months), belongs to a group of thematic maps based on agroclimatic variables called Characterization or Agroclimatic Information. The cold period map corresponds to a model of average duration of the cold or frost period (number of months in which the average minimum temperature is less than 7oC) represented through a map of hyposometric inks. This information is produced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by geostatistical interpolation methods (kriging) from the data of 1803 stations belonging to the network of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
