Strategic noise map – 2016 – major and ancillary railways – Lnight – contours
Description
Strategic rail noise map with more than 30 000 train passages per year according to RL 2002/49/EC, together with impact on additional railways. The reference year of these dates is 2016. The sound card indicates how much noise the environment is exposed to. The noise level is expressed in the parameter Lnight. The Lnight level is the average of the noise levels during the night (23-07h) and is one of the noise indicators that are representative of possible, nocturnal sleep disturbance. These noise maps are updated every 5 years.
