Ecological infrastructures - changing landscape features into arable, vineyard and orchard landscapes
Description
Small structures in the agricultural landscape contribute to a large extent to the landscape, biodiversity and partly also to the functional cohesion of a region. Their development in terms of quantity, type and quality or characteristics is largely influenced by agricultural use, and some types are direct products of such activity. The Austrian Programme for the Promotion of Environmentally Sound, Extensive and Naturally Protective Agriculture (ÖPUL 2000) also aims to maintain and promote such networks and elements of the agricultural landscape.
