Hydraulic conductivity in rock (viewing service)
Description
The display service Hydraulic conductivity in rock includes calculated hydraulic conductivity (K) in rock drilled wells from Brunnsarkivet and an interpolation of these values. In addition to uncertainty in the input data, a number of assumptions are included in the calculations, which entails some uncertainty in the final result. Uncertainty is considered to be significant for a single well, which means that interpolated hydraulic conductivity in areas with very few wells should be significant.
The product should be able to be an important part of hydrogeological investigations where hydraulic conductivity in rock is a factor. However, due to the uncertainties and limitations that exist, as well as the purpose and requirements of the investigation, additional investigations may be required, especially in areas with few wells. But even in these cases, the results of this report can be valuable in initial investigations.
The interpolation includes a nationwide calculation and the result is presented in the unit m/s in a grid with cell size of 100x100 m. Estimated hydraulic conductivity in rock drilled wells includes the subset of the Well Archive that SGU considers it reasonable to use for this purpose.
