Inspire HE Altitude – Grid Coverage ATKIS – DGM1
Description
Digital terrain models (DGM) are managed in ATKIS® according to a national standard. DGM are digital, numerical, models of terrain heights and shapes of the earth’s surface, which are reduced to a regular grid. They do not contain information about buildings (e.g. bridges) and vegetation. Due to different water levels at the reception times, height jumps can occur in waters. DGM are available with the grid widths 1 m (DGM1), 5 m (DGM5), 10 m (DGM10), 25 m (DGM25) and 50 m (DGM50).
