Transparency model for Central Archipelago Sea waters 2005
Description
The point material describes the openness of the waters of the Archipelago Sea using the wind sweep (fetch). The original data also includes line swiping distances calculated from each observation point in several directions towards the sea. The material has been produced for the thesis of the Department of Geography at the University of Turku. More information about the Master’s thesis: Helin, J. (2005). From the 23 x 17 km area north of Nauvo and Korppoo, we have calculated the wind sweep distance (fetch) for points in the regular 250 x 250 m network. The data is suitable for examining the openness of the coasts of the Archipelago Sea.
