Description
The presentation service presents information on geology in the Free State of Saxony. It represents the axis-wide geological solid and loose rock units in scale 1: 400,000 in the three individual maps “surface”, “Quarter covered” and “Känozoikum covered”. The map service provided is the “surface” map. The INSPIRE-compliant implementation of the further maps is currently in progress. Incomplete data on stratigraphy and/or petrography of individual surfaces are gradually completed. A uniform grey signature marks the incompletely attributed features. The map service is usable on a scale smaller than 1: 50,000 as well as in various attribute representations. The map work is one of 7 geological maps, which is provided for the territory of the Free State of Saxony in their own map services INSPIRE-compliant.
