Description
Inventories on coercion in psychiatry include:
Indicators:
- Compulsory measures: Number of forced administration commenced
- Persons: Number of persons concerned
Data are grouped on the basis of the different coercive measures
- Detentions involving: Compulsory incarceration and detention
- Compulsory treatments which include: medication, electroshock, nutrition, treatment of bodily ailment and forced medication as a result of the decision on forced follow-up after discharge.
- Fixations and physical uses of force which include: Belt fixation, strap fixation, gloves fixation, retaining strap, locking the department's outer door, soothing medicine and personal shielding over 24 hours.
- Safeguard measures which include: fabric belt or similar, personal alarm and guidance systems, special door locks and other protection.
- Printing agreements and coordination plans which include: Printing agreements and coordination plans.
The coercive types that are not shown in separate tables are included as a basis for data in the overall tables - e.g. the use of fabric belts is included in the table 'All protective measures'.
