Natural pest regulation sensitive crops (Natural capital)
Description
Potential natural pest control based on the overlap between agricultural parcels and other landscape features. The various pest-prone crops are grown on the agricultural parcels: potatoes, beets, cereals and fruit. Calculating the overlap of the ‘pest regulating zones’ in the agricultural parcels and landscape features creates four categories: red, pink, light green and dark green. They increasingly indicate the potential natural pest control. This data is used in the ‘Functional agrobiodiversity’ card. This map is part of the research into natural capital in Overijssel.
