Description
The German Library Statistics (DBS) is the national statistics of the German library system and contains statistical key figures. It includes public libraries, scientific libraries, as well as specialized scientific libraries. More information can be found at [DBS](https://www.bibliotheksstatistik.de/).
This dataset contains the following information on public libraries in Bavaria in 2021:
Number of inhabitants, physical media per inhabitant, 1. virtual media provided, access rate physical media, new acquisitions (physical media access / p.e.), events per thousand inhabitant, annual opening hours per thousand inhabitant, 1. weekly opening hours, visits per inhabitant, physical turnover (borrowings / ME), 1. physical and virtual borrowings / p.e., 1000 borrowings / employees (FTE), employees (FTE) / 1000 p.e., 1. Percentage of specialised staff (FTE) / total staff (FTE), annual opening hours per MA in FTE, current expenditure per visit in euro, current expenditure per inhabitant in euro, acquisition expenditure per visit, economic. Appropriations + debt / total expenditure in percent, acquisition expenditure per inhabitant, public area per thousand inhabitant, 1. User workstations/1,000 p.e., 2. Digital offerings, Percentage of virtual lending as a share of total lending, Percentage of virtual media expenditure as a share of total acquisition expenditure, 1. Percentage of acquisition expenditure/percentage of total expenditure, training hours/MA (FTE), Percentage of staff expenditure per visit
Note: Due to the pandemic, the data for the reporting years 2020/2021/2022 are only comparable to a limited extent with those of previous years!
