The German Library Statistics (DBS) is the national statistics of the German library system and contains statistical key figures. It includes public libraries, scientific libraries, as well as specialized scientific libraries. More information can be found at [DBS](https://www.bibliotheksstatistik.de/).
This dataset contains the following information about public libraries in Bavaria in 2009:
Number of inhabitants, Media per inhabitant, Renewal rate (access*100)/stock ), New acquisitions per inhabitant, Events per inhabitant, Annual opening hours per inhabitant, Computer jobs per inhabitant, Share of borrowers per inhabitant, Visits per inhabitant, Turnover (borrowings/stock), Borrowings per inhabitant, Borrowings (thousands) per staff (in FTE), Research (information) per inhabitant, Personnel (in FTE) per inhabitant, Personnel (in FTE), Annual opening hours per staff (in FTE), Training hours per staff (in FTE), Current expenditure per visit, Current expenditure per inhabitant, Earnings expenditure per visit, Share of staff expenditure in total expenditure, Share of self-employment Means plus debt / total expenditure, acquisition expenditure per inhabitant, public area per thousand inhabitant
