Emissions of PAHs to air by households
Description
Benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) belongs to the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Heating with wood (stoves) is responsible for the majority of BaP emissions.
Emissions from heating with coal and, to a lesser extent, fuel oil fell sharply. The transition to more environmentally friendly ways of heating and the rejuvenation of the stove park is the challenge for the future.
