Dryfall duration map, basic map for the Zoute Ecotopen Westerschelde 2011
Description
An ecotope map was made of the Westerschelde in 2011. A salty ecotope map is built up by merging several layers of information from the intertidal area: soil height map (height and depth), geomorphological map, dry-fall duration map, flow map and salt map. The dry fall duration is based on the soil height map 2011 and the water levels that occurred in the period 2008 to 2011. The drying time is calculated with the M2 model.
