Statistical areas in Hamburg

Description

The division of Hamburg into now 943 statistical regions (status: April 2016) followed the 1987 census. The Statistical Areas are a summary of adjacent building blocks that are homogeneous and thus comparable in terms of selected structural and social structural characteristics. They do not cut districts, but in some areas district boundaries. A wide range of socio-structural information is available for these territorial units from the Statistical Office North. The validity of these data sets ends on 31.12.2016
