Immission-ecological permanent observation stations for monitoring pollutants from the air
Description
At the immission-ecological permanent observation stations, parameters for monitoring pollutants from the air are recorded year-round in a regular cycle (28 days) with various measuring devices. Electrically cooled precipitation collectors (electrically cooled bulk, wet only) and passive collectors for the determination of gaseous ammonia and NO2 concentrations are installed to monitor eutrophic and acidifying inputs. The entry of metals is determined by collecting dust precipitation (Bergerhoff method). From May to November, active biomonitoring methods are used to determine the effect of substance inputs on plants. The effect of the atmogenic input of metals on plants is measured with the standardized grass culture, the effect of organic pollutants (dioxins/furans, PAHs, PCBs) is determined with standardized grass cultures and kale. Measurement data can be obtained from the LfU data centre for a fee.
