Permanent immission ecological observation stations for the monitoring of pollutants from the air
Description
At the permanent immission ecology stations, parameters for the monitoring of pollutants from the air are recorded all year round in a regular cycle (28-days) with various measuring devices. For the monitoring of eutrophicating and acidifying entries, electrically cooled precipitation collectors (electrically cooled bulk, wet only) and a passive collector for the determination of gaseous ammonia concentrations are installed. The entry of metals is determined by the collection of dust precipitation (Bergerhoff method). From May to November, active biomonitoring methods are used to determine the effect of substance inputs on plants. The effect of the atmospheric entry of metals on plants is measured with the standardised grass culture, the effect of organic pollutants (dioxins/Furan, PAH, PCB) is determined using standardised grass crops and kale. Measurement data is available at the LfU data center for a fee.
