INTEMARES_Points_sampling_campaign_NIS_RAS_0721
Description
The information contained in this data set corresponds to the sampling points made from temporary transects in apnea, as a methodology of "Rapid Assessment Surveys (RAS)", for the census of Invasive and Indigenous Species (EAI). These samplings were carried out between July 2 and 23 in the campaign NIS_RAS_0721, with the aim of mapping the presence, abundance and distribution of EAI, in the first 2 meters of depth of the coast of the Menorca channel.
This is the representation of the spatial distribution of the sampling points along the coasts of Mallorca and Menorca that remain within the Menorca channel.
It is a data set composed of point elements, where each element represents a sampling station.
Each object is associated with a series of alphanumeric variables such as ID, date, island, locality, zone and coordinates.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
These works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
