Direction of traffic on the road section - MEL

Description

This table makes it possible to know the direction of traffic in relation to the direction of entry of the section of the track. A track may consist of several sections. At each intersection, there is a new section. **For example:** - If the route of the section is the same as the direction of traffic, then it is a "go" direction; - If the route of the section is in the direction opposite to traffic, then it is a "return" direction; - If the traffic is in two directions, then the value is "double direction"; Among the types of senses present in the "meaning" field, we find: * SINGLE RETURN SENSE AND BUSES WITH CONTRACTS: seizure of the section in the direction opposite to traffic (traffic in SENS UNIQUE) + bus lane in the opposite direction * DOUBLE SENSE: no indication of the direction of the section because the direction of entry is necessarily correct. * PROHIBITED TRAFFIC EXCEPT RIVER: Circulation of residents is two-way * SINGLE RETURN SENSE: seizure of the section in the direction opposite to traffic (traffic in SENS UNIQUE) * SINGLE MEANING TO GO AND CYCLE TO AGAINST: seizure of the section in the same direction as the traffic (traffic in SENS UNIQUE) + cycle lane in the opposite direction * SINGLE MEANING TO GO AND BUSES TO CONTRACT: seizure of the section in the same direction as the traffic (traffic in SENS UNIQUE) + bus lane in the opposite direction * SINGLE SENSE GO: seizure of the section in the same direction as the traffic (traffic in SENS UNIQUE) * SINGLE RETURN SENSE AND CYCLE TO CONTRACTS: Seizure of the section opposite the direction of traffic (circulation with SINGLE SENSE) + bicycle lane in the opposite direction This data has been updated for 30 years and allows to know the direction of traffic on a given section. The addition of entities or modification of existing elements is done through land surveys and the acquisition of municipal by-laws and/or the MEL.
