Dataset Remscheider constituencies
Description
The dataset contains polygons of the 26 constituencies in the Remscheid city area. A constituency is an organisational unit in political elections. They result from the aggregation of the corresponding voting districts. Each constituency is assigned a polling station and an electoral board. Changes are made by the local election committee when changes in the population distribution or legal requirements are required. Last time, adjustments were made in Remscheid on 26 February 2020 following a judgment of the Constitutional Court for the Land of NRW of 20 December 2019 (VerfGH 35/19). The following factual information is stored for the polygon surfaces: Constituency number, constituency name, (shortened) text string on voting district.
