Description
Prussian map recording 1 : 25 000 Uraufnahme- Urmesstischblätter 1843 - 1878 (HKPK)
In the years 1843 - 1878 the Prussian and Nassau provinces were for the first time completely in scale 1 by the topographic department of the Prussian General Staff: 25,000 added. The hand-drawn multicoloured originals are now in the German State Library in Berlin and served as the basis for General Staff Card 1: 80 000. They were not intended for publication. The terrain forms were initially represented by hatches, from about 1846 by equidistant horizontal lines (in Prussia without, in Hesse-Nassau with height indications).
For reasons of simplification, the reproductions in the format 59 cm x 58 cm are designated with today's sheet numbers and names of the Digital Topographic Map 1:25000.
