PET heat map Province of Zeeland

Description

At the beginning of 2019, the standardised calculation method for heat stress was established. This card is drawn up according to the standard. The heat stress map shows a sensory temperature, the Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET) in the outdoor area. For the correct interpretation of the map it is also important that it is known which ambient temperature has been taken as a starting point. For this purpose, the data from KNMI station Vlissingen on 1 July 2015 between 12.00 and 18.00 are used. The average temperature over that period is 28.3 degrees Celsius. The following source files were used to create this map: - Shadow - KNMI 2013 derived from the AHN2 with solar position on July 1, 2015 - Sky view Factor - KNMI 2013 derived from the AHN2 - Wind reduction - calculated by Nelen and Schuurmans according to the heat stress recipe - Wind speed - measured at KNMI station 1 July 2015 - NDVI - Aerial view 2018 - Bowen ratio - Land use map 2018 (0.4 is vegetation, 3 is paved surface) - Trees - derived from the AHN2. - Radiation - KNMI station - meteo data KNMI station Vlissingen 1 July 2015
