Description
Dufour card: This data set in raster format contains the Swiss-wide overview of the sheets of the Dufour map 1:100'000. The larger towns, rivers, lakes, cantonal borders and names are marked. Dufourkarte and Siegfriedatlas are largely based on the same recordings from the years: 1818 / 1836 to 1862. The Dufour map served for a long time as a field map of the Swiss army. Sheet cut and map format are identical to the current country map. It was produced with a true-to-area spurious cone projection, the ellipsoid Schmidt 1828 and an initial height of 376.2 m above sea level.
