Research concept 2013-2023
Description
Research in the Gesäuse has a long tradition and in many areas pioneers of science have created unique foundations. With the founding of the Gesäuse National Park, a structured exploration of the area was started, which was divided into basic surveys (inventory) and management-oriented research.
In the spring of 2012, the launch of a separate research concept was launched. A series of workshops focused on simple questions:
Why research? What is the purpose of research in the National Park?
What to do? Where are thematic areas and priorities?
How to research? How do processes and implementation take shape?
