(WFS) - Seals: Monitoring of the populations of seals and grey seals in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea from 1989 (LKN.SH - NPV)
Description
This download service provides all seal and grey seal data available since 1989 from counting flights in the area of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. The data are, on the one hand, surveys carried out during the seal flights in the months of May - July (litter period) and August - September (hair change period) and, on the other hand, data collected during the grey seal flights in the months of November - April. Since this is a UIG equivalent complete transfer of the processed raw data, no methodological or biological filtering of the data was carried out. This meant, for example, that random grey seal sightings were recorded during the seal counts, but should not be considered as a standardised method for determining stocks.
