Description
The data set presents the risk to the rail infrastructure caused by flooding in a spatially differentiated manner. This product of flood risk is the result of work within the BMDV expert network in the field of climate change impacts and adaptation (bmdv-expertennetzwerk.de). The factual information and hazard classes are provided exclusively for the rail infrastructure sector. The data basis for this is the data set “geo-strecke” (as of 01/2017), which is provided by Deutsche Bahn (DB) under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) (http://data.deutschebahn.com/dataset/geo-strecke). The intersection of the route network with the flood hazard maps (HWGK) HQ100 of the federal states is shown (see final report of the main topic flood hazards (SP-103) in topic 1 of the BMVI expert network; bmdv-expertennetzwerk.de). A distinction is made between potentially flooded sections according to the HWGK and non-flooded sections "not affected".
