Salvage areas (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)
Description
This stock contains salvage areas as established in the Environmental Vision of Groningen 2016-2020.
Salvage areas are intended to allow and temporarily store water in the event of flooding (high borehole levels) in order to prevent flooding or breaking of boreholes elsewhere. If possible, we also provide storage areas with other functions (e.g. nature, recreation). Salvage areas are used more often than once in a hundred years on average. We have included rules for the use of land in salvage areas in the Environment Regulation.
